Measuring your window for roller blinds is a simple process, but accuracy is key to ensure a perfect fit. Here’s a step-by-step guide: :
Tools You’ll Need:
A metal tape measure (more accurate than a cloth one)
Pen and paper to record measurements
Step 1: Decide on Mounting Type
Inside Mount (Recess Fit): Blinds sit inside the window recess for a sleek look.
Outside Mount (Face Fit): Blinds cover the entire window frame or wall area, ideal if the recess is shallow or uneven.
For Inside Mount (Recess Fit) :
1. Measure the Width (Top, Middle, Bottom)
Measure at three points (top, middle, bottom) inside the window recess.
Use the smallest measurement to ensure the blind fits without rubbing.
2. Measure the Drop (Left, Middle, Right)
Measure from the top of the recess to the sill at three points.
Use the longest measurement to ensure full coverage.
3. Check Recess Depth
Ensure there’s enough depth (usually at least 2.5–3 inches / 6–7.5 cm) for the blind mechanism.
For Outside Mount (Face Fit):
Measure the Width
Decide how much wider you want the blind than the window (typically 4–6 inches / 10–15 cm extra on each side for better light blockage).
Measure the exact width you’d like the blind to cover.
Measure the Drop
Measure from where you want the blind to start (above the window) to where it should end (below the sill if desired).

Additional Tips:
Pls give us the measurements after deduction for inside mounting, or add extra for outside mounting, we will make the exact measurements you gave us.
Suggestion: for inside mounting, can deduct 0.3-0.5cm of the width For outside mounting, can add about 10cm of width and heightThere will be a shade gap between the fabric and cassette, if you want to block all the sunshine, pls consider outside mounting to cover the whole window

- Write down measurements in millimeters (mm) for precision.
- Double-check all numbers before ordering.
- Consider obstructions like handles or tiles that might affect fit.
